Simple Ways to Keep the Home Tidy ALL the Time
Simple Ways to Keep the Home Tidy ALL the Time
1. Clean your dishwasher each night (and empty it each morning)
If it's empty or not, you should get into the habit of running your dishwasher and then emptying it once a day. This allows you to load every dish into the dishwasher, which is empty during the day when you are using the dishes, rather than filling the sink.
Dishes pile up quickly and create a mess in your kitchen! You should be sure your dishwasher wasn't over before you ran it, and it would be waiting for hours before emptying it.
If you are a part of a smaller family or live on your own, you could spread this for a few days, or obviously. It is important to be prepared and have a space for dirty dishes to go straight away.
You'll be amazed at how much time it requires, particularly if you are at the top of your game!
You can empty a dishwasher in just five minutes. You'll put the dishes that are dirty in it, not in the sink, which means there's you don't need to waste time.
2. Processing your mail quickly when you receive it
Paper clutter is a major source of clutter in many households. When you get your mail, go through it and sort through the mail. If you receive bills that are on paper, take them out and put them in a designated spot to be paid once you are ready.
3. Clean and fold just one load of clothes each day
In your tiny household, you don't have the need to sort out laundry every day. It's true that you may not be an expert when it is time to sort laundry and do a variety of loads.
However, one day you may finish your laundry, the next day others, the next day towels, and then sheets, etc.
So that the entire day on Sunday doesn't have to be spent washing clothes. (Ugh, it sounds horrible!)
4. Make your bed
Start incorporating making your bed in your 'getting ready' routine for the morning.
5. Clean up and clean the counters
If you've already done your dishes and sent out all your emails, the process will not take much time in any way.
Once you've got into the habit of doing this in your kitchen, you can add the task of cleaning your bathroom counters into your routine, too.
6. Clean up a small area
The way you clean is different every day. The idea is to perform an extra cleaning chore each day.
The task might be quick cleaning the shower, dusting, cleaning the kitchen, sifting the dining area, or everything that is dirty on that particular day.
If you take care of just each chore one at a time, you'll be less likely to feel overwhelmed by all the homework to do.
